The founder of the CAFS Institute is Dominic T. Colletti, a career firefighter with a large, combination fire department in the Northeast United States. The CAFS Institute is owned and operated by firefighters who are also end-users of CAFS technology.
Over the past 20 years, especially within the past 5 to 7 years, CAFS technology has been adopted at an increasing rate. This increase has correspondingly raised the need for end-user training and education.
The CAFS Institute has recognized the need for:

- high quality, up-to-date instructional materials keeping pace with new technology
- training materials that are cost-effective and provide high value
- on-site seminars and other hands on training opportunities
- a multi-tiered, accredited training program that can be delivered by local-level instructors
The CAFS Institute offers firefighter books, manuals, videos, and training programs created by industry leaders who are also users of Class A and Compressed Air Foam technology. We put our experience to use for you, resulting in continuous improvement in firefighter safety and operational efficiency.
